A very special "Thank You" to the Diamonds International family for donating this exquisite piece of jewelry, to the Office of the Governor Law Enforcement Planning Commission, the Virgin Islands Port Authority, Senator Donna Frett-Gregory, Sweet Surrender, JR's Cakes & Bakes, Mrs. Janice Stephens, Elite Events and to all of our volunteers who assist in bringing hope and healing.
IKTC Foundation-Victims United Inc showcased a rare, timeless, radiant, priceless diamond, Mrs Lorraine Fredericks, a survivor, who inspired, informed, enlightened and touched everyone in attendance at the 1st Annual Diamond Gala with her message.
November 20th to December 20th is a fitting time for this awareness month for during the holiday season, survivors often experience overwhelming feelings of grief, loss and despair. This is an important time to show our support to those who are grieving from such a loss whether they are family members, friends, teachers or neighbors. It’s also an opportunity for the community, elected officials, religious leaders, mental health and law enforcement professionals to learn how to better address the needs of families who have been impacted by such violence. This awareness month is close enough to the holidays to make a difference in the lives of survivors, but not so close as to be disruptive.
